Before you quote them
Read these numbers well
Labels, not activity
Topics count how repositories are labelled. A school or a company that asks its developers to tag their repositories can raise an economy’s count in a single quarter.
Smaller topics don’t show
GitHub publishes a topic only when 100 or more of an economy’s developers push to repositories that carry it, so topics used by fewer developers don’t appear.
The counts can’t be added up
One developer can push to repositories with several topics, and then counts in each of them.
Bigger communities pass it more easily
The threshold is the same for every economy, so larger developer communities clear it more often. Compare Algeria with the medians.
