Minhajna is a free, open-source project building an integrated digital system for education in Algeria.

We began by digitising teachers’ daily journals, lesson logs and attendance registers, and are gradually expanding it to cover other educational and administrative work.

Available now

  • Entering your weekly timetable, including class subgroups and sessions held every two weeks.
  • Recording lessons taught and editing entries.
  • Roll call: attendance, absences and late arrivals.
  • Following the lessons taught in each class.

Not ready yet

  • Recording marks, calculating averages, printing books or saving them as files.
  • Complete official annual plans for every subject and grade.
  • Using the same records on multiple devices, or connections to school administration and the Ministry.

Install

  1. Download the app and open the file.
  2. If asked, allow installation from the browser or file manager you opened it with, then choose “Install”.
  3. Turn that permission off afterwards, then open Minhajna.

Keep Play Protect on. If Android warns that the app is harmful or blocks installation, stop and ask us for help.

Update

Updates are manual. We announce new releases on Facebook.

  1. Download the new version and open the file, leaving the current app installed.
  2. Choose “Update”. Reopen Minhajna and check your entries. Turn installation permission off again if you enabled it.

Do not uninstall or clear app data to update: that deletes your entries.

If Android refuses the update, stop. Don’t install an older version. Ask us for help.

Start with this

  1. During setup, choose the school stage and subject, enter a made-up school name and choose “Add the demo class”.
  2. Enter your weekly timetable. To enter lesson titles yourself, choose “No pack: type the items”, add two invented lesson titles and finish setup.
  3. On Today, open a session and try recording one of those lessons with “Confirm the session”, then edit the entry.
  4. Record attendance, absences and late arrivals from the list or “Seating plan”, which shows where pupils sit.

Example lessons are for testing, not Ministry-approved plans.

Your privacy

The app works offline. Your entries stay on your phone.

There is no backup. Uninstalling, clearing app data or losing your phone can lose your entries. We cannot restore them.
